The Saiga Antelope faces increasing threat from human poachers, who hunt and capture it for its horns. To convey this trapped feeling, Captured restricts movement in the shoulders and neck. The shape and color is also inspired by the Saiga’s horns, from the earthy flowing ridges to black horned tips. This project was modeled in Rhino and 3D printed in 8 parts. It was then assembled with a magnet enclosure and coated with XTC 3D.
